Prayers for Jeremiah
A town very close to us has had an outbreak of meningitis. Two children ages 7 and 8have died. There is a little boy named Jeremiah Mitchell, age 6, who is in critical condition. He was given a 25% percent chance of survival on Friday. The doctors told his parents that if he does survive he will likely have to have his arms and legs amputated. However, since the doctors told his family this they have since found a pulse in one knee. Please pray for this little boy. God works miracles and this little boy needs one. I don't know this family but have been reading articles about the situation and having children this age it really breaks my heart. Let's watch God work!!

Update on Jeremiah from the Tulsa World...
Six-year-old Jeremiah Mitchell is showing some promising signs in his fight against the deadly meningococcal disease, said his grandfather, Rockie Mitchell of Talala.
“He’s on a medicine to take the moisture out of his system. His kidneys are working really good, which was a surprise to his doctor,” he said. “They took him off the heart medication because his heart is beating real good.”
The kindergartner is one of seven children who have contracted the disease; two died last Thursday, and five remain hospitalized.
Last week, doctors told Jeremiah’s family that he had a 25 percent chance of surviving his illness and that if he lived, he might have to have his arms and legs amputated.
But Mitchell said doctors have now found a pulse in both legs and his left arm.
“We praise God in it, and we refuse to talk any negative about it,” he said.
The family has heard from people throughout the country.
“I just don’t know the words to say thank you. You wouldn’t believe the outpouring of prayer. I know where the glory belongs,” Mitchell said.
“It’s still scary. It’s tearing up my heart. But we’re just praising God my little boy is better.”
