Do people on cartoons ever go potty?

We had storm damage and shingles blew off our house. I
picked up the shingles and put them in the garage.
J. found them and threw them on my car.
I didn't see him do this but K told me. J. came to me
and said, Mom, I love you." I asked why
he came in from outside to tell me he loved me.
He never let on. "I just wanted to," he said.
